New trial licence scheme enables choirs to photocopy music

PMLL is delighted to announce the launch of its Amateur Choir Trial Licence. The scheme was launched in September and has now been extended to run until December 2020. New choirs wishing to sign up to the scheme are invited to do so now.

The Amateur Choir Licence allows choirs to photocopy sheet music for their members. It also allows small arrangements of works without the need for further permission. Any work controlled by publishers that have signed up to this trial may be copied under this licence*

Choirs who choose to sign up will be required to fill in a short survey before and after the trial, and submit data on which titles have been copied each month during the trial.

Further information on the Trial Licence and background information on PMLL can be found on the PMLL website.
